Getting Excited!!!

By spartanconnor92

Man ohh man I am getting excited, in just a few hours we have to wake up at 4:30 in the morning and travel to the other side of the world, now thats not a normal thing for a 14 year old to do. Well i still havent packed yet, i know i know its the day before but hey what did i say last time its summer and I enjoy being lazy. Tonight we had our grandparents over and our whole family had a going away dinner.  We all got exactly what we wanted and i got my favorite food a steak. There was a running joke in our family about how this could be our last great meal in 16 days, but who knows maybe there will be some really nice South African food we can all enjoy.  Well this is where i’ll end this Journal, the next time you’ll hear from me i’ll be at the airport (at 5 o’clock in the morning) getting ready to embark on the biggest adventure of my lifetime. Well good luck to you all while were gone and thank you for all your prayers they are appreciated.

Connor! I said a special prayer for you last night. You are the youngest one on the trip, I believe. But you will be the one closest in age to many of those you will be ministering to. You, along with the other high school guys, may be one that they will look toward the most. You have all the right tools, Connor. I know that through the help of the Holy Spirit and the guidance of Pastor Maier, your Dad and others on the trip with you, you will make a powerful impact on the lives of those people you meet. I am scheduling you in for a visit to the seventh grade class when we study Africa. So keep your eyes and ears open so you can share the wonders of God’s creation in Africa, along with how God works through you and others to bring His children into His kingdom. Blessings to all of you!

    Connor,
I hope that you all got over to South Africa safely. I bet it was exciting and scary at the same time. I bet you are learning soooooo much about life in a different part of the world and learning how much God has blessed us here in the United States. At the same time it is so awesome to be working on God’s commission to us about spreading God’s Word. I hope and pray that this experience will be a rewarding one for the whole team. Enjoy yourself and God’s Blessings to you all.

    Mr. S
